Job Description
A thriving global packaging manufacturing leader is seeking a hands-on Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Specialist for its Converting facility in the Pryor, Oklahoma area. This is an E&I Specialist role in Pryor, OK. Relocation assistance : will be provide if needed. What's in it for you? Broad, hands-on technical exposure across a highly diverse operation — paper-machine equipment, mechanical and instrumentation systems, secondary-fiber processing, automated warehouse equipment, effluent-treatment operations, and boiler/utility systems. Involvement in equipment installations, capital projects, planned shutdowns, and advanced reliability programs (thermography, ultrasound, motor analysis, power analysis). High visibility and autonomy as a trusted resource to operations and maintenance teams, with long-term professional growth potential. What you'll do: Navigate process control systems and associated field devices. Assess, program, and repair the mechanical aspects of production machinery. Act as a consultant and resource to operations and maintenance team members when identifying and troubleshooting issues. Support capital project installations of instrumentation and control devices. Manage system changes by keeping programs backed up and updating documentation, schematics, and drawings. Support daily activities, periodic shutdowns (fabric changes/maintenance), long-term planning, and capital projects related to process controls and E&I. Support reliability programs such as thermography, ultrasound, motor analysis, and power analysis. What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or a vocational certificate/diploma in mechanical/electronic controls/instrumentation (a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree). 1-3+ years of experience as a mechanical or electrical maintenance technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Paper manufacturing or other industrial manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to work effectively with plant personnel, engineering groups, and outside contractors. Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously.
