The Manufacturing Planner II is responsible for creating and revising routing and Tool Work Orders. The Manufacturing Planner II enters part numbers, item master, item balance, structure, and routing. The position is also responsible to redline shop manufacturing orders utilizing best shop practices. This position contributes to our vision by: Works from engineering blue prints initiates manufacturing order instructions (routings) and Bill of Material (BOM) which specify the production processes and/or machines to be used, the type of inspection procedures and the overall sequence of operations to be followed in producing the assigned item in a manner which complies with engineering specifications and manufacturing requirements in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Determines the appropriate lead-time required for both individual steps and the overall process of producing the part or assembly. Implements, structures and plans into MRP System on new and existing programs, including rework tags, customer return tags, and spares. Identifies and resolves problems in assigned areas. Pulls drawing requests from queue and is able to process them under minimal supervision.
