Description:
You will be the Production Operations Manager (Level 5) for the Advanced Programs Production Operations team. Our team is responsible for delivering affordable, scalable manufacturing solutions that enable rapid fielding of advanced air‑ and missile‑defense systems. What You Will Be Doing As the Production Operations Manager (Level 5) you will be responsible for leading all Production Operations activities and shaping the strategy that drives rapid fielding of critical defense hardware. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop and deploy Production Operations strategies for design and development of production systems. Direct cost, schedule, and quality performance for prototyping and development hardware builds. Lead identification and adoption of advanced manufacturing capabilities and strategic supply‑chain partnerships. Oversee capital, capacity, and facility‑project planning to support rapid fielding. Coordinate with Advanced Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management to align strategy and execution. - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline A broad base of knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production Previous operations leadership experience in a production environment required Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence Ability to obtain a "Secret" security clearance
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality tools for design and manufacturing applications Familiarity with Robotic Automation capabilities Familiarity with Factory modeling and simulation tools and applications Business acumen, with emphasis on Business Development, Capture strategy, and Operations strategy TRL/MRL knowledge and experience Transition to production knowledge and experience Experience on Production Phases of programs
Contracting:
familiarity with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and Middle Tier of Acquisition Related professional level career experience in production operations Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification Production Operations leadership experience Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership Experience in capacity & capital planning Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods First Unit Flow planning & execution Manufacturing & test statement of work and proposal development experience Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling CAM Certification or cost analysis experience Design for Assembly (DFA) familiarity or experience Ability to Lead with Vision and driven to Shape the

Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
