Job Description
This is lead work in operating a wastewater or water treatment plant and allied appurtenances while on an assigned shift. Jurisdictions Yearly Salary Mobile Area Water and Sewer System $50,527

Note :
The eligible list created from this job posting will be utilized to fill Treatment Plant Operator II positions specifically in the area of WATER treatment. Minimum Qualification Requirements Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and a minimum of one year experience at the level of a Treatment Plant Operator I or Pretreatment Specialist I; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. Special Requirement Must be certified in water or wastewater treatment by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). Out-of-state certifications may be accepted, but ADEM certification must be completed within 6 months of employment. Mobile and Saraland- possession of a Grade III Certificate in Water or Wastewater Treatment, preferably both, except for assignment to the Stickney Filtration Plant (Moffat Road) and the Myers Filtration Plant (Hubert Pierce Road which requires a Grade IV Water Certificate. Prichard-possession of a Grade II Certificate in Water Treatment OR possession of a Grade III or IV Wastewater Certificate. Bayou La Batre
