experience strongly preferred. Ability to lead field activities while remaining actively involved in testing and troubleshooting.
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Lead to support the commissioning recovery and startup of two
GE LM6000
simple-cycle gas turbine units. This hands-on field position will lead mechanical commissioning activities, troubleshoot outstanding equipment and system issues, and coordinate corrective actions required to safely progress the units through startup, testing, and reliable commercial operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Lead and perform mechanical commissioning, system checkout, and startup activities. Troubleshoot gas turbine mechanical, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and auxiliary systems. Perform system walkdowns and verify mechanical readiness for commissioning and startup. Identify equipment deficiencies and coordinate troubleshooting and corrective actions. Support turbine startups, shutdowns, testing, reliability runs, and performance validation. Coordinate with operators, I&C/electrical personnel, contractors, OEMs, and specialty vendors. Review P&IDs, drawings, procedures, test records, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
Job Requirements :
Strong gas turbine commissioning, startup, or field service background. Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical and auxiliary systems. Knowledge of fuel gas, lubrication, cooling, hydraulic, and other turbine support systems. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and OEM documentation. Strong field leadership and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work an extended commissioning schedule in an active power plant environment. Education /
Experience :
Technical degree, mechanical training, or equivalent combination of education and field experience. 7+ years of mechanical commissioning, startup, maintenance, or field service experience preferred. Previous LM6000, LM2500, TM2500, or comparable aeroderivative gas turbine experience strongly preferred.
