Job Description

Performs a variety of semi-skilled and technical work in the operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment facilities and systems. To view full job description, please click on the job title: Water Plant Operator - Relief Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, and, Minimum of one (1) year of full-time Membrane Treatment operation experience Valid Class "C", "B" or "A" Water Treatment Plant Operator License issued by the State of Florida Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record throughout employment. Certification from the Federal Emergency Management Administration, National Incident Management System IS-700, Introduction to
NIMS, IS-800
National Response Plan, and IS-100 Introduction to Incident Command System, or be able to obtain within one (1) month of hire Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience; psychological evaluation; polygraph examination; background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen. Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment. Preference will be given to certain veterans, spouses of veterans, or unmarried widows/widowers of veterans. Proof of veterans' eligibility must be provided at time of application.
