None Position Summary Responsible for safely and efficiently producing ready-mix concrete that meets customer specifications and quality standards. The Batch Plant Operator operates batching equipment, monitors production, maintains inventory records, coordinates with dispatch, drivers, and quality control, and supports a safe, clean, and productive work environment. Essential Functions Operate computerized batching equipment to produce concrete according to approved mix designs. Verify mix designs, ticket information, admixtures, and batch quantities before production. Monitor production, cycle times, and inventory; communicate issues affecting production or deliveries. Perform routine plant inspections, housekeeping, and basic preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate production, inventory, and calibration records. Coordinate with Dispatch, Quality Control, drivers, and management to support customer service. Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety hazards promptly. Comply with company policies and all applicable safety and environmental requirements. Wear required PPE at all times. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. One year of manufacturing, construction, or ready-mix experience preferred. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Valid driver's license preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of ready-mix production principles preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to obtain applicable
ACI/IDOT/NDOT
certifications within one year, if required. Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds using safe lifting techniques. Frequently bend, reach, kneel, and use hands for operating equipment and computer systems. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, dust, noise, and temperature conditions. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work Schedule Schedules vary based on customer demand and business needs. Overtime, early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays may be required. Safety Responsibilities Employees are expected to comply with all safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), immediately report hazards or incidents, and participate in required safety training.
