Operate the batch plant control system (e.g., Command Alkon or similar) to accurately batch concrete mixes to job specifications ? Monitor scales, moisture probes, and material levels to ensure accurate and consistent batching ? Coordinate with dispatch and drivers to schedule and prioritize loads ? Perform pre- and post-operational inspections of the batch plant and related equipment ? Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs ? Maintain accurate batch records, tickets, and production logs ? Ensure raw materials (cement, aggregate, admixtures, water) are available and properly stocked ? Follow quality control procedures and coordinate with QC staff on mix adjustments ? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment ? Follow all safety protocols and participate in daily safety discussions ? Assist with general plant maintenance and housekeeping as needed ? Other duties as assigned ? Hands-on experience in a ready-mix, aggregate, industrial, or manufacturing environment preferred ? Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment issues ? Strong attention to detail and accuracy ? Ability to read and follow mix designs and batch tickets ? Comfortable using computer-based control systems (training provided) ? Strong communication skills to coordinate with dispatch, drivers, and QC ? Willingness to learn plant systems and receive on-the-job training ? Ability to work independently and manage time in a fast-paced environment ? Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety mindset ? Valid driver's license
PREFERRED

) ? Experience operating a ready-mix or aggregate batch plant ? Familiarity with Command Alkon or similar batching software ? NRMCA certification (or willingness to obtain) Certifications and prior batch plant experience are a plus, but they are not required — candidates with strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a good work ethic are encouraged to apply regardless of formal education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
? Ability to lift to 50 lbs ? Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and work at heights ? Ability to work in outdoor and indoor conditions, including heat, cold, and dust ? Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while monitoring plant operations The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the ready-mix concrete batching system to accurately produce mixes to specification, keeping plant operations efficient, safe, and quality-driven. This role relies on attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and hands-on experience — a four-year degree is not required, and we provide on-the-job training to help the right candidate succeed.
