Wash Plant Operator is responsible for working in a safe and effective manner. Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for operating loaders/heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner. Job may also include trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, compactors and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures. Granite Excavation is seeking Wash Plant Operator/Heavy Equipment Operator. Granite is a family owned construction company located in Cascade, ID, as well as operates out of the Treasure Valley area. We specialize in earthmoving, underground utilities, paving, and miscellaneous concrete structures in the public and private sectors. We also aim to provide turnkey GC packages in multiple private industries, as well as acting as General Contractors on complex public works projects. • Perform preventive maintenance on Crushing and Wash plants
• Repair Washing plants equipment as needed
• Repair breakdowns on Wash plants in a timely manner
• Knowledge of or past experience in wash plant equipment maintenance and operation
• Ability to work long hours, including overtime.
• Safely operate machines that convey, wash, crush & screen aggregate to produce quality sand & gravel at maximum production levels.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands (The nature of physical effort leading to physical fatigue) The Wash Plant Operator has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling, shoveling and laboring for heavy equipment operators, can include lifting up to 75-100 lbs. The Wash Plant Operator will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. The Wash Plant Operator must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way. Environmental Conditions (The nature of adverse environmental conditions affecting the incumbent) The Wash Plant Operator must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.
