Primary Purpose of Position Responsible for the administration of the radioactive materials shipping and receiving program to ensure the station is meeting all state, federal, and company regulations. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Oversee the shipping and receiving of radioactive materials including associated inspections and authorizations for shipment. Ensure completion of all required paperwork associated with the receipt/shipment of radioactive materials including proper maintenance and retention of records. Perform Curie content calculations, classification of radwaste shipments, and 10CFR61 analysis. Ensures that the appropriate computer programs for radioactive material shipments are maintained. Keep abreast of industry changes regarding radioactive shipping regulations and guidelines and incorporate changes into existing station procedures. Develop and deliver oral and written communications effective for all audiences. All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.).
