American Bottoms is a regional wastewater treatment facility providing services to Sauget, East St. Louis, Cahokia, and the surrounding communities. In 2014 the facility was awarded "Plant of The Year" by the Illinois Association of Water Pollution Control Operators. Job Description Duties include monitoring gauges, meters and control panels; maintaining logs and reports; operating valves, gates, pumps, switchgears and generators; collecting samples; operating and monitoring computerized control systems; operating de-watering equipment; performing preventative maintenance; and cleaning. Work Rotating Shifts to provide 24 hour coverage 365 days of the year Minimum Qualifications Special consideration will be given to candidates who have completed a training program in wastewater treatment plants with an emphasis on advanced biological treatment. Applicants must have a valid drivers' license, graduated from high school or trade school or equivalent, and proficient in basic computer skills. No relocation or sponsorship provided.
