$1,307.56 gross per week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. Permanent Full time position based at our Principal Depot in Charlton. Work a 9 day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off. About the position The Plant Operator C&PM is part of the Firebreak Management team within the Parks and Recreation branch. The team oversees three dam estates, a range of rural and urban parks, and several escarpment parks across the region. These areas support a range of recreational activities and hold significant conservation value, requiring tailored fire and biosecurity management while upholding community expectations, safety, and wellbeing. The Plant Operator C&PM will undertake tasks to deliver the desired levels of service for fire management trails and control lines within the Toowoomba regional Bushland Parks and Dam Estate, including the maintenance of fire management assets. They may also be called upon to assist in other tasks and activities with other bushland park operations. Plant Operators will work under general supervision. What you'll bring Current 'C' Class Manual Driver's Licence . Competency certificate for the operation of a tractor up to 110kW . Possession of a current 'HR' Class Driver's Licence, or a willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement. Possession of a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SOA) for the unit

Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement. Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate ( ACDC ) or willingness to obtain within 3 months of commencement. Experience in the operation and daily maintenance of tractors (including implements), mowers and Skid Steer machinery up to 110kW in rough off-road conditions. The ability to identify a range of invasive plant species. High standards for the work you do. Good communication and customer service skills for your team, Council, and our community.
