Join the power movement as a Shift Operator We are seeking reliable, safety-focused Shift Operators to support the safe and efficient operation of the SPARC Tokamak and its supporting systems. Reporting to the Senior Manager of SPARC Plant Operations, this role supports commissioning, operational readiness, and steady-state operations through both control room monitoring and field activities.   • Hours:
    2:00 pm
  • 10:30 pm (hours subject to slight adjustment of one to two hours) Rate of pay: \$30
  • \$41 per hour + 10% differential What You\'ll Do
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain plant systems and equipment supporting SPARC operations
  • Troubleshoot cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, cryogenics, liquid nitrogen, and electrical distribution systems
  • Safely operate plant equipment under normal and abnormal conditions from the control room and in the field
  • Perform switching and tagging (Lockout/Tagout) to support maintenance and commissioning
  • Participate in procedure development, revision, and optimization
  • Support system testing and commissioning activities
  • Adhere to human performance and safety standards in all activities What We\'re Looking For
  • High School Graduate/GED
  • 5 years experience in operations at complex facilities
  • Experience in low-voltage and/or complex electrical environments
  • Experience with large cooling water systems
  • Previously qualified Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) / tagging program experience
  • Background in complex facility operations (power plant, oil & gas, LNG, etc.)
  • Strong safety mindset with demonstrated safety performance
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and their operation
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills; able to apply procedures to operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; thrives in changing environments; quick learner Bonus Points For
  • Experience in radiological environments
  • Experience with cryogenic systems
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or related field
  • Strong background in Human Performance
  • Experience with high-voltage electrical systems Must-have Requirements / Physical Demands
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stoop, climb, type, stand, or sit for extended periods as required
  • Dedication to safety working around hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics
  • Willingness to travel or work required nights, weekends, or be on-call occasionally Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly range: \$30
  • \$41/hour + 10% shift differential + equity + benefits. Actual compensation depends on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
