Job Description

The concrete batch plant operator will be responsible for the operation of the batch system as well as maintenance and repairs and reporting of mechanical failures or inconsistencies. Essential Functions Operating computer controlled batching system that transfers product from storage bins through weigh bins and into ready mix trucks maintaining maximum production levels. Read and interpret computer orders to control mix design. Ensure all assigned equipment is properly maintained, clean, in safe working order and operated properly. Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment, refer major problems to the concrete plant manager. May be required to operate heavy equipment. Use tools such as sledgehammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, cutting torches, welders, and pneumatic hand tools. Execute other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements Required :
High School Diploma or the equivalence.
Experience Requirements Required:
Knowledge of plant operation, maintenance, and electrical systems. Thorough understanding of the concrete manufacturing process. Experience with batch system software.
