Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Primary functions of the operator include but are not limited to being responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant mining and processing equipment and effectively monitor all equipment.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all MSHA and HSEQ procedures and policies are implemented and followed. Operate the plant sorting facility in a safe, productive manner. This includes multiple work stations. Maintain consistent flow of plant feed and interact with mining operators in order to provide efficient plant production. Monitor product grades and production rate to help control feed selection and maintain quality. Communicate with other plant operators and Quality Technicians. Operate front-end loader and haul trucks to move screenings, waste or product as needed. Work with maintenance to keep plants at high physical availability. Perform level 1 plant maintenance duties as required during shutdowns. Complete pre-shift inspections on mobile equipment. Work with Plant Operations Lead Person (OLP) for proper utilization of resources, work assignments and daily tasks. Collect, process, and perform tests on process samples. Sort ore on sorting belt Perform housekeeping duties and operate cleanup equipment, such as skid steers and plant vacuum. May be temporarily assigned to other shifts or mining locations to facilitate training, work schedule, downtime and work assignment. Perform other tasks assigned by Plant Supervisor or OLP. Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics: Ability to perform a safety risk assessment before performing any task Ability to perform work in adverse weather conditions Experience working under MSHA rules and regulations preferred Experience operating front-end loader, haul-truck and other mining equipment Process plant knowledge and operating experience highly desired. Computer experience a plus.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience requirements: High School Diploma or GED. One or more years operator experience, preferably in mining/milling or industrial environment. In addition to the posted base compensation, this position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual incentive bonus program. Bonus eligibility and payment are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable program.
