Job Description
Asphalt Plant Operator
ASPHALT PLANT FOREMAN JOB FUNCTIONS
-- Operating a Mobile Asphalt Plant with up-to-date computerized equipment controls
- Oversee plant maintenance and operation
- Ensure that the equipment & plant functions as designed at all time
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment malfunctions in order to minimize downtime as well as striving to improve equipment/plant operating efficiency to maximize production, save time, save fuel, and minimize labor
- In charge of plant tear-down and plant sets
- Daily reporting
JOB REQUIREMENTS
-- Seeking a candidate with at least two (2) seasons of experience operating a hot asphalt plant; however, we are willing to perform additional training as required
- Moderate to heavy lifting, bending, reaching above shoulder level, climbing stairs and ladders frequently, kneeling, and stooping
- Clear and effective communication skills (speech, vision, hearing/listening, writing, etc.)
- Valid driver license
- Ability to pass pre-employment DRUG test and random DRUG &/or alcohol screens
WORK WEEK / JOB DURATION
- Typically work 50 to 70+ hours, 5-6 days per week, depending on the weather & project status. Work is generally from thaw until freeze-up.COMPENSATION
