Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Systems Sewer Operator on the 2nd shift, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining efficient sewer system operations. Responsibilities Operate and monitor sewer system machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance during your shift Conduct routine inspections of sewer lines, pumps, valves, and related infrastructure using measuring instruments and diagnostic tools Maintain accurate records of system operations, measurements, and maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards in production Perform manual tasks such as cleaning, repairing, or replacing sewer components, including seam construction and materials handling Assist in troubleshooting system issues promptly to minimize downtime and uphold quality standards in production Follow all safety protocols related to sewer operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards in production Support warehouse activities related to materials handling and supply management for sewer maintenance projects We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the position of Second Shift Systems Operator in the Sewer Division. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining municipal sanitary and storm sewer systems and a strong work ethic. Under the direction of the Sewer Division Supervisor and Public Works Director, the Systems Operator is responsible for assisting with the routine maintenance, repair, and operation of the Township's sanitary and storm infrastructure, driving, cleaning, operating, and servicing trucks and equipment as assigned, and manual labor work in connection with installing and maintaining infrastructure. This position also performs other other related duties as required to support Sewer Division operations. Work hours for this position are Monday through Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM during summer months).
