Job Description

Overview The SWD Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of saltwater disposal (SWD) facilities used in oil and gas production. This role monitors and maintains disposal wells, pumps, tanks, pipelines, and related equipment to ensure the proper handling and disposal of produced water while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Operate and monitor saltwater disposal wells and associated equipment. Conduct routine inspections of pumps, tanks, pipelines, valves, and meters. Monitor pressures, flow rates, tank levels, and injection volumes. Troubleshoot operational issues and report equipment malfunctions. Perform basic maintenance and assist with repairs as needed. Collect and record operational data, readings, and inspection reports. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with production, trucking, and field personnel regarding water transfers and disposal activities. Maintain housekeeping standards and a safe work environment. Respond to alarms, emergencies, and operational upsets as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous oil and gas operations experience preferred. Experience with SWD facilities, production operations, lease operations, or pipeline operations is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read gauges, meters, and operating procedures. Knowledge of safe work practices and environmental regulations. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and walking on uneven terrain. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
