What to Expect As an LFP Facilities Operator, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of critical facilities equipment at one of Tesla's most advanced manufacturing facilities. Your role will involve monitoring and operating utility systems to guarantee uninterrupted production while upholding Tesla's high standards for safety, efficiency and sustainability. You will have the opportunity to contribute to world-class operational practices that drive energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact, working closely with system experts to continuously enhance these systems. What You'll Do Perform rounds, operate and monitor utility equipment using control systems, ensuring optimal performance and verifying system trends. Systems include Compressed Air, Chilled Water, RODI Generation, Chemical Systems, HVAC, Refinery, Steam/Boiler Review, manage & respond to

alarms and out-of-spec conditions, collaborating with engineering teams to rationalize alarms and document changes Execute equipment startup, shutdown, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, adjusting processes based on operational needs and alarm responses First responder to unplanned events, troubleshooting and safe recovery of Facilities utilities and process systems Serve as point of contact for ongoing process events, partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Production, Security, EHS and Contractors on safety, reliability and operations; champion Life Critical Policies, hazard recognition and safe work around hazardous chemicals and areas Improve equipment and system reliability through collaboration with teammates and facilities engineers, working from schematics and P&ID diagrams Utilize in-house program applications to monitor equipment status, create work orders (CMMS), log daily activities, escalate major issues, track LOTOs and MOCs What You'll Bring Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical system operations; experience with chemical handling and electrical distribution preferred; College/technical school or equivalent work experience; applicable documented training or certifications a plus Ability to wear required PPE, work in hazardous areas and discern audible alarms; Plant/Refinery/Facilities, process, pilot or equivalent experience operating, calibrating and maintaining chemical/process or utility equipment safely Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail; ability to follow precise instructions and technical troubleshooting; Adaptability to flexible schedules, including night shifts, compressed/rotating work weeks and a fast-paced environment; Collaborative team player with a positive mindset who takes initiative, supports others and keeps safety at the forefront of every decision and action Perform physically demanding work for extended periods (up to 12 hours/day), including sitting, standing and walking over varied/uneven terrain; Frequently bend, lift, reach, push and carry (typically 10-50 lbs.), including carrying loads up and down stairs Stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl, twist and work in awkward positions for extended periods; Climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolding or other elevated structures Continuous hand/eye coordination, fine manipulation, and body/kinesthetic awareness; Detect process issues and safety signals using sight, touch and hearing (including audible alarms); Wear required PPE for extended periods (e.g., hard hat/bump cap, safety glasses, safety shoes, PAPR, gloves, reflective vest) and follow all safety rules Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
