Job Description
Gravel Plant Operator Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies and MSHA regulations, demonstrate safe practices, and promote safe habits in coworkers
- Minimize plant downtime and maximize plant productivity
- Maintain their facilities through regular inspection, routine maintenance and proper preventative maintenance practices including: o Frequent and regular inspections of equipment o Lubricating of equipment o Checking alignments o Parts organization o Housekeeping and cleanup
- Perform maintenance on plant equipment as needed including crushers, screen decks, hoppers, augers, and conveyor systems Requirements
- Self-motivated to produce a quality product, meeting the expectations of customers and management
- Has the ability to achieve production goals set by management and/or supervision
- Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and management to achieve goals
- Ability to safely operate hand tools Ability to safely operate hand power tools
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and crawl as necessary throughout the shift
- Must be capable of working for prolonged periods, in an outdoor work environment in varying weather conditions
- Successfully complete/pass drug screen and background check
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication
- Familiarity with MSHA regulations
