Pay Range:
Targeted salary up to $24.18 per hour, base on experience

Friday, Standard/Fixed Schedule Position Introduction:
Under direct supervision, assists with all maintenance and repairs of the steam and chill water plant generating equipment and its related peripheral equipment, the tunnel distribution system, and all equipment assigned to the plant. Assists with all maintenance and adjustments to boilers, chillers, and cooling towers. Assists with maintaining and logging auxiliary equipment records. Assists with mixing/combining various chemicals following instructions and safety procedures. Observes and assists with water tests to ensure chemical levels are correct. Reports to supervisor if any chemical level adjustments are required. Observes various computers that operate the steam and chill equipment operation. Reports problems to supervisor. Assists with various plant maintenance duties, to include but not limited to maintaining equipment, cleaning, and performing simple repairs within the individual's level of expertise. May assist with clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, streets, and parking areas using hand tools and/or heavy equipment. Participates in training and educational activities. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of any site support position to include assisting any skilled trade.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED. 6 months of steam and chill water plant operation experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Basic knowledge of steam and chill operations and equipment Basic knowledge of tools used to repair and maintain equipment and systems Ability to comprehend and follow general instructions and procedures Ability to read simple schematics, blueprints, and drawings and discuss with supervisor Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations Ability to collaborate and work as a team player
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date
