Plant Process Operator - Blending Plant- 2nd Shift

Job Summary The Process Operator/Laborer is responsible for operating the plant equipment to produce finished product. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Oversees processing of raw material to finished product; monitors materials to maintain maximum rate of processing per hour. Maintains consistent flow of material from initial receipt to shipment. Monitors control panel and various gauges to ensure process maximum efficiencies. May perform some preventative maintenance duties (i.e. lubricating machinery and checking lubricant levels as required) Informs Shift Lead Person and/or Plant Management of any problems. May be responsible for plant start-up or shut-down. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. Aware of, has received training and is responsible for maintaining Darling's Food Safety program. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Minimum 6 months experience in related environment Preferred Qualifications Work well with others in a team environment. Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task. Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Occasionally push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out in a Blending plant environment.
