Job Description

Job title Crushing Plant Operator/Equipment Operator Reports to Lead Man Job purpose Operate crushing plant and material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Duties and responsibilities Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety culture Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment Complete daily inspections and maintenance checklist Participates in pre-shift safety huddles Performs routine maintenance and various equipment repairs as needed Responsible for reporting incidents and accidents to supervisor or management Maintain an open line of communication with team members to promote team productivity Responsible to report to plant supervisor or superintendent of any potential safety hazards Qualifications Qualifications include: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with peers. Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes Able to operate equipment efficiently Ability to perform tasks as given from supervisors as well as work as part of a team Adaptable to changing conditions Mechanical skills to perform routine maintenance and repairs Comfortable working at heights Working conditions Working conditions are outdoors and vary throughout the season. Preparation for these changing conditions and the ability to adapt is required. Physical requirements
