The Department of the Physical Plant at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator on shift work to join their team at the Interventional Support Center (3250 South 76th St., Philadelphia) location:

Responsibilities:

+ Maintenance, installation and repair of commercial / industrial HVAC systems and HVAC & Boiler equipment

+ Testing and preventive maintenance on HVAC & Boiler related equipment

+ When needed, work with 3-phase Electric and be able to troubleshoot electrical control circuits

+ Experience with Plumbing systems; Carpentry and Lock repairs; Painting, Patching and Wall Coverings is a plus

Credentials:

+ A Philadelphia Engineer's "A" License or equivalent license (Required)

+ A CFC license for handling low tonnage (chillers) cooling equipment (Required) Candidates that do not have the required licenses listed above at the time of hire must obtain the Philadelphia Engineer's Class "A" License and the CFC License for handling low tonnage (chillers) cooling equipment and have them filed with the Physical Plant Department office within 180 days of employment.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

+ High School graduate or GED (Required)

+ A minimum of two (2) years of specialized training for HVAC (Required)

+ A minimum of 4 years full-time HVAC experience with a bona fide HVAC contractor or employer (Required)

+ Experience working with Boilers (Preferred)
