  • Level II (IRATA / SPRAT) Role Summary A fully qualified, experienced rope access technician capable of working independently, rigging systems, mentoring Level I technicians, and performing complex tasks under a Level III's oversight.
Core Responsibilities Rig, inspect, and modify rope access systems Perform advanced work-at-height tasks independently Supervise and mentor Level I technicians Assist with: Rescue planning Job setup and teardown Execute self-rescue and assist in team rescues Identify hazards and stop unsafe work Authority Can make on-the-spot technical decisions Can act as lead technician on tasks Still reports to a Level III for overall control Certification Requirement IRATA Level II or SPRAT Level II Typical Experience 1-3+ years rope access Strong trade skills an asset (insulation, coatings, welding, NDT, mechanical, etc.)
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Level I, II or Level III Rope Certification through SPRAT or
IRATA API 653, 570 & 510
an asset but not required NDT certs:
UT, MT, PT, RT, DR, RAD 40
& state card (TX) and asset but not required
Craft Experience & Certs:
Coatings, Insulating, Pipe Fitting, Welding, Mechanical Confined space certifications is a plus Knowledge, Skills, Abilities NDT Methods
  • Expertise in multiple NDT methods and willingness to engage in ongoing learning and application of skills an asset but not required Mechanical
  • Intermediate mechanical knowledge. Safety
  • Knowledge of, and willingness to follow and lead others to follow applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Apply these safety standards in the work environment and look out for other crew members. Active Listening
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking appropriate questions. Able to Work a Demanding and Flexible Schedule
  • Strong work ethic required. Able to work long periods of time, up to 16-hour days. Able to respond to callouts on short notice and to stay on site, including long distance travel for extended periods of time. Physical Demands
  • Able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds on loose, rough or uneven terrain.
Able to occasionally exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 150 pounds with assistance. Climbing and working at heights, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, standing for long periods, walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion, working in confined spaces, working in extreme cold and heat, visual acuity, working near hazards including moving mechanical parts, working near electrical components and exposures to chemicals. Applicants must meet weight restrictions to ensure their safety when utilizing safety harnesses.\ Professional Appearance and Conduct
