The Company:

Win-Sam, Inc. was founded in 1972 by James M. Samis and Clint Murchison, Jr. (Mr. Murchison was the founder and original owner of the Dallas Cowboys Football team.) Today, the company is owned by James D. Samis. Win-Sam has operated three state-of-the-art energy conversion facilities at The University of Texas branch campuses at Dallas (UTD), San Antonio (UTSA), and Odessa (UTPB) for 48 years. Over a quarter of our team members have been with Win-Sam for 10+ years.

The Position:

As a Plant Operator, you will operate, adjust, maintain and perform various repairs and maintenance on equipment such as chillers, boilers, electrical systems, fixtures, plumbing and other mechanical equipment. You will also log, record and analyze system readings. This position is ideal for those trained in the industry, as well as those who would like to learn a new trade.

Essential Requirements:

Ability to understand diagrams, schematics and readings. Ability to work independently or in a group. Ability to obtain an EPA Universal Certification. Willingness to follow written and verbal instructions. Desire to continuously learn and progress. Great attitude and willingness to be a team player. A high school diploma or equivalent.

Work Hours:

Win-Sam is a 24/7 operation. Our Plant Operators are on rotating shifts (with differential pay) that will occasionally require weekends, overnights and holidays.

Compensation/Benefits:

Starting salary is $22.76 per hour , commensurate with experience, paid bi-weekly via direct deposit.
