Job Description

Overview:
Gates Underground is a local directional drilling company located in La Center, WA. We are currently seeking a Drop Placement Foreman to oversee daily underground utility installations. In this role, you will lead a crew to safely install conduit and fiber by operating vibratory plows for standard drop placements.
Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership:
Direct and train new crew members, manage daily production goals, and complete daily paperwork.
Equipment Operation:
Supervise and operate vibratory drop plows and walk-behind trenchers.
Utility Safety:
Ensure all 811 utility locates are completed and clearly marked. Oversee potholing to expose existing gas, power, and water lines to prevent strikes.
Site Restoration:
Guarantee that residential yards and commercial properties are properly backfilled, reseeded, and restored to their original condition or better.
Customer Relations:
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for homeowners, answering questions and ensuring a professional company presence.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
2+ years of proven experience in underground utility construction, specifically operating drop plows.
Leadership:
Previous experience running a crew or stepping up into a lead role.
Physical Ability:
Capability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions and lift 50+ lbs routinely.
Licensing:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. The ability to safely tow equipment trailers is required. Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
