Full Job Description Description:
The Milling, Scanning & 3D Printing Technician is responsible for converting physical dental records into digital files, operating milling equipment and 3D printers, and ensuring all products meet quality and production standards. This position is a critical part of our digital manufacturing process and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to quality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Digital Scanning Prepare dental records and materials for scanning. Scan physical records using specialized dental scanning equipment. Select the appropriate scan type according to established guidelines. Properly name and organize digital files. Review customer and case notes to ensure requirements are met. Milling Operations Review work orders to verify correct material size, shade, and specifications. Select and load the appropriate digital manufacturing files. Load acrylic pucks and materials into milling equipment. Monitor machine operation and verify proper calibration. Remove completed components and inspect for quality. 3D Printing Operations Load design files into 3D printing systems. Prepare, operate, and monitor printing equipment. Perform printer maintenance and upkeep. Complete post-processing activities to ensure finished product quality. Quality & Production Follow manufacturing work instructions and standard operating procedures. Maintain production and quality records accurately. Inspect products to ensure specifications are met. Meet production schedules and daily priorities. Work safely and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements:
Qualifications Basic computer proficiency. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Ability to operate equipment and follow detailed work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic understanding of machine maintenance. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
