We're looking for someone who already understands professional wide-format printing. You do not need experience on our exact equipment. If you've operated UV, latex, solvent, eco-solvent, flatbed, hybrid, or roll-to-roll production printers, we'd like to talk to you. Once you are fully trained on our equipment and production workflow, this position offers a flexible start time. We don't care what time you start your day as long as the work gets done, deadlines are met, and production stays on schedule. For more than 32 years, ScanTech Graphics has produced high-quality large-format graphics and custom printing for clients throughout San Diego and across the United States. We're looking for someone with: Experience operating professional production printing equipment Experience working with RIP software Knowledge of color, media, and large-format production workflow Ability to recognize and troubleshoot print-quality issues Experience with routine printer cleaning and preventative maintenance Strong attention to quality and detail The ability to work independently and keep production moving Experience with EFI/VUTEk is a major plus, but it is not required. If you have solid experience operating other professional large-format equipment, we can train you on our specific machines. Equipment & Technology Our production environment includes: EFI Pro 16h UV LED hybrid printer HP Latex 700 / 700W Fiery RIP/workflow UV flatbed and roll-to-roll production White ink and multi-layer printing Kongsberg digital finishing CNC and additional production equipment Experience with EFI/VUTEk, HP Latex, Mimaki, Roland, Canon, Durst, Agfa, swissQprint, or similar professional large-format equipment is valuable. Experience with Fiery, ONYX, Caldera, Flexi, or similar RIP software is also a plus. What You'll Do Operate large-format UV and latex printers Set up and process jobs through RIP software Print vinyl, banners, wallcoverings, window films, adhesive graphics, rigid boards, and specialty materials Work with CMYK, white ink, and multi-layer printing Load and unload roll and rigid media Review work orders and job specifications before printing Monitor color, registration, curing, and overall print quality Identify and correct banding, color, media, curing, and other print issues Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance Troubleshoot equipment, media, and production problems Work closely with prepress, finishing, fabrication, and project management Help keep jobs moving efficiently through a busy production environment Who Will Do Well Here We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work . You should be able to look at a print and recognize when something isn't right before an entire job is wasted . You'll be a good fit if you: Take pride in producing high-quality work Are comfortable troubleshooting equipment and media issues Are mechanically inclined Can read and follow production work orders Can manage multiple jobs and priorities Work well independently while still being part of a production team Understand the importance of deadlines and communication Are dependable and organized Are comfortable using computers and production software Experience working in a sign, exhibit, graphics, or commercial printing environment is a strong plus. Flexible Schedule We believe experienced operators should have the flexibility to manage their day while taking ownership of their work. After we recognize that you are fully trained and comfortable operating our equipment and managing the production workflow, your start time is flexible. We're less concerned about what time you walk through the door and more concerned that the work gets done, quality standards are maintained, deadlines are met, and production stays on schedule. Physical Requirements This is a hands-on production position.

Applicants must be able to:

Stand and walk for most of the workday Safely handle large sheets and rolls of print media Lift and move materials weighing up to 60 lbs. Compensation & Benefits $27.00-$35.00 per hour , depending on relevant large-format printing experience and technical ability.
