Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Must be able to analyze, preflight, fix, and optimize digital files for both traditional offset lithography and high-speed digital printing. Must be able to translate complex structural designs into production-ready files, ensuring exact color accuracy, precise die lines, and flawless structural layouts for commercial packaging.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Preflight incoming client digital files to identify and fix layout, font, resolution, and transparency issues. Build and manipulate complex packaging templates, die lines, structural folds, bleeds, and knockouts using . Impose single and multi-page layouts for both offset and digital presses using Adobe InDesign and automated imposition software. Output high-resolution digital proofs, soft proofs, and physical plates for the pressroom. Collaborate with structural designers, account managers, and press operators to resolve file anomalies quickly. Archive and manage electronic assets securely using our internal digital workflow system. Typesetting, light design work, occasional platemaking, cutting & assembling proofs as needed.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
