Printer Technician Elite Line Striping - 2.0 Evansville, IN Job Details Part-time $18.50 - $20.00 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Computer operation Personal protective equipment (PPE) use Sign manufacturing Attention to detail Materials handling Time management Full Job Description Our Printer Tech produces durable, regulation-compliant traffic and safety signs using digital printing, vinyl application, and reflective sheeting equipment. This role prepares artwork, operates production machinery, inspects finished signs, and maintains a safe, organized work area. Key Responsibilities Review work orders, sign specifications, layouts, colors, dimensions, and production deadlines. Prepare digital artwork and print files using graphic design or sign-production software - FlexiComplete & Production Manager systems. Operate large-format printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, applicators, and related equipment. Apply reflective sheeting, vinyl graphics, inks, laminates, and protective coatings to aluminum sign blanks. Cut, trim, weed, mask, mount, and finish printed materials accurately. Verify that signs meet applicable design standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements. Inspect finished products for correct wording, symbols, colors, dimensions, alignment, reflectivity, and surface defects. Organize and prepare completed signs for delivery or installation. Maintain equipment, replace consumables, perform routine cleaning, and report mechanical problems. Monitor inventory of inks, vinyl, reflective materials, substrates, and other production supplies. Follow workplace safety procedures when handling machinery, cutting tools, chemicals, and materials. Qualifications Experience in sign production, commercial printing, vinyl graphics, or manufacturing preferred. Familiarity with large-format printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and sign-making tools. Basic computer skills; experience with FlexiComplete 3M Traffic Edition, FlexiSIGN, Production Manager, or similar software is preferred. Ability to read work orders, measurements, technical drawings, and production specifications. Strong attention to detail, color accuracy, spelling, and visual alignment. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing approximately 40-50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive hand movements. Sufficient visual acuity to identify colors, alignment issues, and printing defects. Ability to work around machinery, inks, solvents, noise, and production materials while using required protective equipment. Preferred Skills Knowledge of traffic-control sign standards and reflective sign materials. Experience applying vinyl and reflective sheeting to aluminum substrates. Understanding of color matching, print resolution, lamination, and material handling. Strong organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
