Media Production Technician - Editing Asst.
Location:
Newton, MA Pay Rate:
$18.00 per hourSchedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Position Overview Ardent Staffing Solutions is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals for a Media Production Technician opportunity in Newton, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology, photography, media, or archival materials in a clean, professional production environment. In this role, you will help preserve priceless family memories by converting a variety of legacy media formats into digital files. Successful candidates are organized, reliable, and take pride in producing high-quality work while meeting daily production goals. Responsibilities- Digitize a variety of media formats, including:
- VHS tapes
- MiniDV
- Vinyl records
- Reel-to-reel audio
- 8mm, Super 8, and 16mm film
- Slides
- Photo albums and photographs
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of digitized media to ensure it meets company standards.
- Perform basic editing and refinement of digital files when needed.
- Accurately track production and completed work using computer software.
- Meet daily productivity and quality goals.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Handle customers' irreplaceable media with care and professionalism. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with computers and basic Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Previous experience with photography, media production, electronics, or digital imaging is a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift 25-45 pounds.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Comfortable working around older media that may contain dust, mold, or mildew.
- Good vision and attention to detail for inspecting film, photos, audio, and video during the digitization process. Why Apply
