Responsibilities Perform on-site field service repairs and preventative maintenance on various copier and printer models, ensuring they operate efficiently. Troubleshoot complex software issues related to printing devices, including connectivity and configuration problems. Use hand tools and schematics to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment safely and accurately. Diagnose hardware failures involving computer hardware components, mechanical parts, or networking systems. Repair or replace OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts to restore equipment functionality promptly. Collaborate with clients to identify issues quickly and communicate repair progress clearly. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all performed work to ensure accurate documentation. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician specializing in copier or printer repair, with strong troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of computer networking concepts relevant to printing devices, including IP configuration and connectivity troubleshooting. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals for various equipment models. Familiarity with software troubleshooting related to print drivers, firmware updates, and device management systems. Ability to use hand tools effectively for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Strong understanding of computer hardware components relevant to multifunction printers and copiers. Experience working with OEM parts and adhering to manufacturer specifications during repairs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
