Job Description

North American Graphics Services, LLC is a family-owned studio focused on production art, prepress, and platemaking services. We are proud to service printers and CPG's in auto, food, beverage, landscape and a variety of other markets. Print processes served are primarily flexo, litho and gravure for the packaging and labelling marketplace. We are growing and looking to expand our team with talented individuals. Ideal candidate will have experience building or converting complex production art files into press ready prepress files to be utilized for final plate production. Experience with flexographic printing is preferred. Comprehensive understanding of Adobe Creative Suite programs is essential. Understanding of Printergy or Hybrid programs is a plus. Position will involve some client interactions to discuss printing specs, timing and expectations. Position will involve some estimating and interaction will sales and management. The environment can be fast paced with a small company feel and approach. Responsibilities Ensuring clients receive timely communication Ensuring quality and service are always first for the client Creating or utilizing supplied production art file to transform into prepress file with accurate traps, color sequence, minimum dot values, distortions and correct specifications from each client Providing value to client by proactively identifying any potential issue along with potential solutions during review of design file. Outputting soft and hard copy proofs. Quality assurance of proofs and plates prior to release to clients E-filing of client communications, graphic files on server, and compiling correct information for invoicing Balance client timelines with production schedules May involve cross functional opportunities: platemaking, Kongsberg cutting, creative design, etc. Qualifications Proven track record of being a team player and problem solver Degree is preferred. Industry experience is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite along with other graphic software. Be able to read technical print specifications: press direction, BWR, packaging dies, stepping information, etc Positive attitude looking to be instrumental in continuous process improvement Desire to have be in a flexible workplace setting driven by employee inputs with rewards for shared success.
