Job Description

Camera Operator (Phantom Experience Required) California-based production company seeking experienced Camera Operators who can mobilize on short notice (24-hour turnaround) during storm season this summer. This project involves filming storm and lightning-related content in a remote mountain environment near Socorro, New Mexico. Shoots will occur on an as-needed basis depending on weather conditions, with multiple shoot days throughout the summer.
Requirements:
Strong camera operating experience on professional productions. Experience operating Phantom high-speed cameras is required. The Phantom will be used on every production day, and applicants should be comfortable with setup, operation, playback, and troubleshooting. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced and changing production environments. Comfortable working outdoors, at elevation, and in varying weather conditions.
Location Notes:
Production takes place at a mountain-top research facility. Crew will park personal vehicles at a designated basecamp and carpool/shuttle up the mountain each production day. This is a unique opportunity to capture incredible weather, science, and high-speed imagery in a one-of-a-kind location. Please include your reel, portfolio, and any relevant experience when applying.
