About the Role We're looking for a skilled and versatile Wide Format Print Specialist to join our production team. This is a hands-on role that spans the full production cycle, from file prep and design work through printing, finishing, quality control, and shipping. You'll operate a wide range of equipment including large format printers, flatbeds, and lamination systems. Key Responsibilities File Preparation & Prepress Format and preflight files for print production, checking bleed, resolution, color mode, die lines, and safe zones Reformat and resize existing designs to fit different products, sizes, and output requirements Create templates for customers to ensure files are submitted print-ready Set up in-house and direct print jobs from file through to press Maintain organized, up-to-date file management on the server so all assets are easy to locate and version-controlled Design & Creative Execute design jobs from brief through to production-ready file Perform design revisions based on client feedback or production requirements Remake and adapt apparel client designs for print output Develop apparel designs as needed across applicable product types Proofing & Quality Control Produce and review proofs for client approval prior to production Perform quality control on all label jobs — checking color accuracy, registration, cut lines, and overall print quality Perform quality control on all outbound shipped jobs before packaging Identify defects early, resolve reprints efficiently, and document recurring issues to support continuous improvement Printing & Equipment Operation Operate Wide format printers, flatbed printers, and label printing equipment across a range of substrates and media Run the fiber laser for applicable jobs and finishing work Operate equipment for cutting and routing as required Perform lamination and cutting on finished print output Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration across all production equipment to ensure consistent output Monitor ink levels and printer parts inventory, placing reorder requests when supplies are running low Finishing, Shipping & Inventory Prepare finished labels and print jobs for shipping, ensuring products are properly packaged and protected Manage inventory of printing materials including substrates, inks, and consumables, flagging shortages proactively What We're Looking For Experience operating large format and flatbed printers (Roland, Epson, HP, or similar) Familiarity with lamination machinery Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator file prep, prepress, and design work Working knowledge of RIP software (Onyx, Caldera, Flexi, or equivalent) Strong eye for color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously and stay organized under production deadlines Comfortable working independently across both creative and production tasks Prior experience in a print production environment is required What You Can Expect A varied, hands-on role spanning design, prepress, production, finishing, and quality control A collaborative team environment where quality and craftsmanship are taken seriously Clear expectations, direct communication, and support from leadership
