In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine operation, blueprint interpretation, and measurement will ensure that high-quality metal fabrication meets production standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality assurance practices. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and machine calibration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate metal parts. Measure finished components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions meet quality standards. Adjust machine settings based on measurements and blueprint requirements to achieve desired bend angles and tolerances. Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety standards in production, including proper use of hand tools, measuring devices, and safety gear. Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, welding, forming machines, and other manufacturing equipment. Experience Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, stamping press, and other machining tools is preferred. Skilled in measuring techniques using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measurement instruments for quality control. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols is essential. Basic shop math skills including measurement conversions and geometric calculations necessary for precise fabrication. Ability to operate forklifts or cranes is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated.
