Type:

full-time Laser Industries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Form Operator / Set-up Operator to support precision sheet metal forming operations within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating brake forming equipment, producing high-quality formed parts, and ensuring all work meets customer specifications and aerospace quality standards. Laser Industries is a growing aerospace sheet metal and machining company located in Fullerton, California. With over 35 years of industry experience, the company supports aerospace and commercial customers through laser cutting, waterjet cutting, CNC machining, forming, welding, and assembly. Responsibilities Set up brake forming machines for the first article and production runs. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine forming sequences and tooling requirements. Select, install, and adjust punches, dies, and back gauges based on material type and part geometry. Operate brake forming machines to produce precision sheet metal components. Verify parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications. Monitor part consistency and repeatability throughout production runs. Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and offsets to maintain quality standards. Perform first article inspections and support buy-off requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and safety standards. Communicate with supervisors, quality, and engineering to resolve manufacturing or quality issues as needed. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of brake form set-up and operation experience preferred. Strong understanding of sheet metal forming processes and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T. Experience using precision measuring tools. Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Positive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Schedule and Compensation Full-time position Pay range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience 8-hour shifts Night shift (2:30pm - 11pm) available Overtime and weekends as needed Pay is competitive and based on experience Benefits 401(k) and retirement plan Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation, sick time, and paid holidays Work Location Fullerton, CA 92831 In-person role; reliable commute or relocation required
