In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet strict specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Program CNC press brakes using CAD/CAM software, adjusting parameters for optimal performance and precision. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to produce parts that meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to maximize uptime and performance. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensions and tolerances. Use hand tools, tooling, and fabrication techniques to assist in the assembly or finishing of bent sheet metal components. Operate auxiliary machinery such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, welding equipment, and electrical discharge machining tools as needed for fabrication processes. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate cranes or forklifts for material handling when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including tooling setup and maintenance. Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software such as CAD/CAM systems. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T specifications for precise manufacturing. Basic math skills for measurement conversions, calculations, and quality control checks. Knowledge of other machining processes such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, welding, and electrical discharge machining is a plus. Experience with quality inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; familiarity with fabrication equipment like stamping presses or sheet metal tools is advantageous. Valid certification for forklift operation or crane use is preferred but not required.
