Job Description
Skills Test Requirement A skills test is mandatory as part of the interview process. Applicants will be required to operate a CNC press brake using an existing machine setup (no machine setup or programming required). The test will evaluate the candidate's ability to safely operate the machine, follow work instructions, read basic prints, produce quality parts, and use measuring tools to verify dimensions. Press Brake OperatorJob Summary 7 Metals Manufacturing is seeking a reliable Press Brake Operator to join our team. This position is focused on operating CNC press brakes that have already been set up by experienced personnel. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to consistently produce quality parts while maintaining production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC press brakes using existing machine setups. Load, unload, and handle sheet metal parts safely. Read basic blueprints, work instructions, and production travelers. Verify part dimensions using calipers, tape measures, and other basic inspection tools. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. Notify supervisors of quality concerns, machine issues, or tooling problems. Keep the work area clean and organized while following all company safety procedures. Work with team members to meet daily production goals. Qualifications 1-3 years of press brake operating experience preferred. Experience operating Amada press brakes is a plus. Ability to read basic blueprints and use common measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. No machine setup or programming experience required. Limited training will be provided.
