Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Ana, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented manufacturing professional with 3 to 5 years of experience operating brake press equipment, interpreting blueprints, and producing accurate metal components in a fast-paced fabrication environment. The Brake Press Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, aligning dies, verifying dimensions, and maintaining quality standards throughout production. This is a strong opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision work, enjoys hands-on manufacturing, and wants to contribute to a team-focused operation with supportive leadership, stable production processes, and opportunities to continue building technical skills in metal fabrication. Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate brake press machinery to produce quality metal parts according to job specifications.
  • Select, position, align, and secure dies in the machine ram and bed for accurate forming operations.
  • Verify workpiece dimensions using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, measuring tape, and related measuring instruments.
  • Position material manually or with lifting equipment to align layout marks with dies and ensure accurate forming.
  • Detect and report defective materials, unusual conditions, quality issues, or equipment concerns to supervision.
  • Maintain accurate job travelers, follow production instructions, and keep work areas, machines, and related equipment clean and organized. Compensation and Benefits
