Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine setup, tooling, and measurement will ensure the production of high-quality metal fabrication parts that meet strict quality standards. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately form sheet metal parts Measure finished components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality control Adjust machine parameters as needed to achieve desired bend angles and dimensions Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and standards in production Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment to maximize operational efficiency Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving sheet metal forming, welding, and assembly Qualifications Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately Proficiency in measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments Familiarity with CNC programming and CNC laser cutting is a plus but not required Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols Ability to perform shop math, basic calculations, and measurements necessary for quality control Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, forming machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutting equipment, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other fabrication tools
Academic/Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent: technical or vocational training preferred Day shift
Position:
Monday-Thursday, 10 hours per day
Working Conditions:
Standard of 40 hours per week Indoor, production area Noise Exposure Must wear PPE and safety equipment Physically demanding - bending, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time.
