University Park , IL Temporary-to-hire opportunity with career growth and stability Weekly Pay with direct deposit or pay card When you work through The Reserves Network, you are eligible to enroll in dental, vision and medical insurance as well as 401K, direct deposit and our referral bonus program Job Description The Brake Press Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to shape and bend metal materials into precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation:
Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal according to technical drawings and specifications. Ensure the machine is properly calibrated and adjusted for each job.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings, material specifications, and sequence of operations.
Material Handling:
Load and unload metal sheets or coils onto the press brake machine.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and quality. Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure all products meet specified tolerances and standards.
Machine Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake machines to ensure they are operating efficiently. Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to maintenance teams.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with hydraulic, mechanical, or CNC press brake equipment and operating / setting up CNC press brake machines in a metal manufacturing or fabrication environment . Minimum 2 years ' experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders for metal forming or fabrication processes. Experience using precision measurement tools, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions and tolerances.

  • $26 an hr , not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation.
If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
