Brake Press Operator - 1st Shift (Cincinnati & AccurPress) First Call is recruiting for an experienced Brake Press Operator to join a growing manufacturing team on the East side of Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and fit.

Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on experience) Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator with at least 3 years of experience operating and setting up brake presses. This role will operate AccurPress brake presses (120-ton and 150-ton) and requires someone who is comfortable performing their own setups, changeovers, and adjustments while working independently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with brake press operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce quality parts while meeting production goals. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate AccurPress brake presses to fabricate metal components Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and changeovers as needed Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Adjust machine settings based on material type, thickness, and job requirements Perform quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures Ensure finished parts meet quality and production standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Requirements Minimum 3 years of brake press operating experience Experience setting up and running press brake equipment independently Experience with Cincinnati and/or AccurPress brake presses preferred Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Ability to use measuring tools and inspect parts for accuracy Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Reliable attendance and ability to work independently Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed Benefits Competitive pay based on experience ($22.00 - $28.00/hour) Opportunity for permanent placement after successful completion of temp-to-hire period Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Overtime opportunities Opportunities for growth and advancement First Call is an equal opportunity employer.
