Job Description
Position Overview:
GTR Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Precision Press Brake Setup/Operator to join our prototype precision sheet metal team. This role is vital in producing high-quality metal components through precise bending and forming processes. The ideal candidate will have experience operating press brake machines, interpreting mechanical blueprints, and setting up tooling to ensure efficient production. This position offers flexibility, initially for either first shift or second shift. The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility to assist in other areas of production when forming work is limited, ensuring the continuous flow of operations across the shop.About GTR Manufacturing:

Duties Set up and operate press brake machines with precision, ensuring accurate bends according to technical drawings and specifications Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine proper machine setup and tooling configurations Adjust machine parameters and tooling to meet quality standards while optimizing cycle times Conduct precision measurements using measuring instruments and tools to verify part dimensions during and after production runs Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to maintain optimal operation Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving sheet metal forming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other related machinery Follow all safety protocols in accordance with industry standards, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others Experience Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing / metal fabrication setting Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications Knowledge of techniques with forming machines enhances versatility in fabrication tasks Experience with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection Understanding of safety standards in production environments along with adherence to safety protocols during machine operation Basic shop math skills necessary for accurate measurement calculations and process adjustments Ability to work efficiently on hand tools, tooling setups, and assembly processes related to sheet metal fabricationPay:
