Job Title:
Press Brake Operator Job Description The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to precise specifications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality production output and maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets and plates. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and production requirements. Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job. Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances. Make machine adjustments as needed to ensure product quality and minimize waste. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines. Accurately record production data in logs or computer systems. Essential Skills Experience in machine operation and setup, specifically press brake machines. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to use precision tools such as calipers and micrometers. Minimum of 1 year experience in machine operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong problem-solving skills to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $22.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
