In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components according to precise specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality fabrication, efficient production processes, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC machinery, and a commitment to precision and quality in manufacturing operations. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine bending specifications and tooling requirements. Set up press brake machines by selecting appropriate tooling, adjusting machine parameters, and programming CNC controls for accurate bending operations. Operate press brake equipment safely and efficiently to produce components within specified tolerances. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of press brake machinery to ensure optimal performance. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and compliance with specifications. Assist with tooling changes, machine adjustments, and setup modifications as needed for different production runs. Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams to ensure seamless workflow and product quality. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols related to machinery operation and material handling. Requirements 3-5 years experience operating and setting up press brake machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and related fabrication processes. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Familiarity with tooling selection, sheet metal fabrication techniques, and quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and machine adjustments. Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, hand tools usage, welding techniques, and machinery operation. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in machining or fabrication processes is highly desirable.
