Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Press Brake Operator sets up and operates press brakes to form parts using a variety of metals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Select, load, install correct tooling; determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces Perform quality inspections of parts to produce products that exceed customer's expectations Work from live schedule, verbal and written instruction, bills of material, routing, samples, blue prints and control plans Maintain good housekeeping in work area and stage completed product on skids Act responsibly to follow safe operating practices Performing other workrelated duties as assigned Complete and demonstrate proficiency on all 30, 60, 90 and 180 day training requirements for the position.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES
) Dimensional measuring, shop math competence and basic computer skills (Required) Capable of using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools (Required) Ability to read and understand blueprints/engineering drawings (Required) Effective communication skills to discuss and understand work procedures, training, general direction and other issues with coworkers and supervisor (Required) High school diploma or GED (Required) Minimum one year manufacturing experience or education experience directly related to press brake operation (Required) 2+ years setup and operating experience, preferably with Trumpf equipment (Preferred) Previous metal fabrication background (Strongly Preferred)PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
