Spark Robotic About the Role Spark Robotic is looking for a skilled and detailed-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery to bend, shape, and form sheet metal according to precise engineering blueprints and specifications. You will ensure that finished materials are high quality and defect-free, contributing to our reputation for excellence in precision metal fabrication.
Key Responsibilities Machine Setup & Operation:
Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machines to produce metal components.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Study blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine appropriate material, tooling, and machine settings.
Tooling Selection:
Select and install the correct tooling (dies and punches) based on material type and thickness.
Quality Assurance:
Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with tolerances.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning, lubrication, and reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all OSHA and company safety regulations, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Required Qualifications Experience:
1-3 years of experience operating CNC press brake machinery.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
Math Ability:
Strong shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry for calculating bend allowances.
Precision Tools:
Familiarity with using precision measurement instruments.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Certification from the or similar vocational training.
