Shear/Brake Trainee

Responsibilities Assist with setting up and operating shear and press brake machines to cut and bend sheet metal according to specifications. Support the inspection of finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met. Handle basic machine maintenance, tooling changes, and safety checks under supervision. Use hand tools, welding equipment, cranes, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively. Participate in quality inspections and documentation processes to uphold manufacturing standards. Experience Prior experience or training in manufacturing or metalworking is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm for learning new skills.. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential. Knowledge of blueprint reading, sheet metal fabrication, welding techniques, and tooling is advantageous. Mechanical aptitude combined with a strong safety mindset will help you excel in this role. Ability to work with hand tools, calipers,tape measures, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments accurately. Willingness to learn about various machinery including stamping presses, and press brake machines. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
